Yes. Please contact the IR office at c-evals@usc.edu for further instructions.

The course evaluation system uses data from the USC Student Information System (SIS) to generate course evaluations. Changes you make here will be reflected in course evaluations.

Main Session Courses:

For the correct data to be entered in the course evaluation system, we need course and instructor data to be finalized by the last day to withdraw with a mark of “W.”

Special Session Courses:

For course evaluations conducted before the end of the semester, please finalize SIS data three to four weeks prior to the finals period for that course. This will ensure that course evaluations reflect the most accurate instructors and courses.

For most semester-long courses, course evaluations will generally be available during the last nine (9) days before the university’s final exam period. Instructors can start the evaluation process as early as 21 days before the end date (14 days for spring and summer semesters). The window for course evaluations is calculated based on the session in which your course occurs. Instructors can set their evaluation windows. They are encouraged to keep the end dates, however. Please see the Faculty FAQ for detail.

For main session (Session 001) courses running the entire semester, evaluations are scheduled to occur nine (9) days before finals begin. Courses in non-001 sessions will have a different evaluation window, based on their scheduled final exam dates (as indicated in SIS). However, faculty have the flexibility to adjust their evaluation windows. Please see the Faculty FAQ for details.

On the scheduled start date of the course evaluation, both students and faculty will receive emails from the course evaluation system. Students will receive an invitation to complete their available course evaluations, while faculty will receive a link to their student response rates for each course. The deadline for each course evaluation is included in the links to both students and faculty.

If you do not see your evaluation on Brightspace, it means that you do not have any active evaluations, or your evaluations might have closed or have not opened yet. Please reach out to courseevals@usc.edu should you have any questions.

The system uses data from the USC Student Information System (SIS) to generate course evaluations. If an incorrect instructor was entered in SIS, it will be reflected in the course evaluation. Students select which instructor to evaluate, and should avoid evaluating individuals not affiliated with the course.

If you know of individuals who are listed in SIS for administrative purposes, but who should not be listed in any course evaluations, please have your department coordinator notify us at c-evals@usc.edu.

Course evaluation reports are distributed at the end of the semester after all grades have been posted, usually two to four weeks after the last date of the semester. Faculty will receive an email from c-evals@usc.edu with a link to their available reports or they can access their evaluation reports in Brightspace under “Tools->Course Evaluation Reports” tab. If you are the designed person in your department to receive faculty reports, please download and save PDF copies of them.
